What are breast gel pads for?

This product works by contracting the fibers present in the bust, thus helping to firm, tone and fill the tissues, preventing sagging breasts. It also relieves premenstrual pain and relief after implant surgery.

The gel disc, also known as a spacer, is a very useful accessory. When placed in regular or nursing bras, they will give you instant comfort and relief thanks to their features. These new gel breast pads are specially designed to perform hot and cold therapy. One of the main benefits of cold therapy is to tone, firm and tighten the tissues, reducing breast sagging. Cold therapy is helpful for premenstrual pain and for all mothers who are breastfeeding.

Heat therapy is recommended for pain in this area. Remember to complement the purchase with a bra that also helps you in this purpose.

Leakage is most common during the first few days of breastfeeding because the amount of breast milk adjusts to the baby's needs, so you should not incur any leakage at all. Leaks can last for weeks, or you may have to deal with them while breastfeeding.

Discomfort can occur when you are having friction with very tight clothing and have just had implant surgery, also if you are feeding your baby, when the breast is too full and when you have sexual relations with your partner. Here are some other reasons why you might need breast gel pads ( Ref. C-065).

  • After having breast implant surgery.
  • During the first weeks of breastfeeding, when the first milk rise occurs.
  • If you are going to be away from your baby for a few hours.
  • When you go back to work.
  • If you have excessive milk production.
  • During sexual encounters.
  • At night, while you sleep.
  • They also work as firming discs thanks to cold therapy.

Types of breast discs

Hydrogel Pads: Hydrogel pads are not used for leaks. They are often used to soothe and heal sore nipples, and can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer to provide cool relief. If you have sore and cracked nipples, hydrogel pads may be helpful.

Disposable chest patch : Disposable nursing pads are designed to be used once and then thrown away. They come in a variety of shapes and thicknesses, so you can try several brands to see which one best suits your needs. Disposable towels are also great for going out or traveling as you don't have to worry about washing them. But over time, disposable items can become more expensive as you have to constantly buy new ones.

The breast patch is reusable : Reusable bras are more economical as they can be worn, washed and reused. They are also eco-friendly because you don't have to throw them away (they won't end up in the landfill). You'll need to buy a few pairs, as you'll need to change them frequently and you'll want to have some pairs on hand while others are being washed.

Silicone absorbent pads : Silicone nursing pads are not absorbent. Instead, they apply gentle pressure to the chest to prevent leakage. Made from soft silicone, these pads have an adhesive surface that adheres directly to your breast, so they can be worn with or without a bra. They are often worn under elegant clothing or for swimming.

Homemade Nursing Pads : Nursing pads can be easily made from a variety of items. You can cut disposable diapers or pads to fit inside the bra, use a handkerchief or other piece of cotton, fold it and place it over your breasts, or, if you know how to sew, you can sew a few layers of absorbent material in a circular shape, or any other shape. that is comfortable for you. When making your own pads, avoid artificial materials. It is best to use a 100% cotton fabric, which absorbs losses better and is softer on the skin.

Temperature therapy

It uses heat to stimulate milk flow and relieve clogged milk ducts . It also uses cold to relieve pain and swelling associated with breast engorgement and mastitis. It is discreet and comfortable while remaining soft when cold. What for cold therapy, Place the gel disc in the supplied storage bag and chill in the refrigerator for up to one hour. For maximum benefits, keep one disk of the gel in the refrigerator while you use the other.

The gel disc should remain in place for a minimum of 10 minutes and a maximum of 20 minutes. A maternity bra can be used to keep the gel pad discreetly in place.

For heat therapy, heat the gel pad in a bowl of water to a maximum temperature of 46°C for five to seven minutes. For moist heat, place the gel pad on a damp cloth or small towel before applying it to your chest.
